My name is Mark Perry
Perry & Co. was founded by Mark Perry, CAE, MMAO, in 2012. After a nearly 30 year career with Masco Corporation serving as its director of real estate services, property taxes, and government affairs; Mr. Perry attained increasing management responsibilities including site selection; incentives, credits and grants; real estate transactions; real estate valuation; real and personal property tax administration and tax assessment appeals.
In 1980, Mr. Perry received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Economics from Central Michigan University. He holds the CAE real estate appraisal designation from the International Association of Assessing Officers; licensed as a Michigan Master Assessing Officer (Level IV), Certified Personal Property Examiner, licensed Michigan real estate broker, and is a FAA licensed private instrument rated pilot.

​Before joining Masco in 1983, Mr. Perry was the Assessor for the City of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. After attaining valuable knowledge and experience in the public sector, he was hired by Masco Corporation to create and manage the company’s property tax department. Masco’s property tax department was considered to be innovators in its field as it was regularly included in national benchmarking studies and looked to for best-practices in proactive property assessment administration.
​For more than three decades, Mr. Perry has held memberships in, been a guest speaker of, and has served on numerous boards and advisory committees of international, national, and state professional property tax, appraisal, and real estate organizations. Mr. Perry has previously been an active participant on the Legislative and Tax Committees of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, Michigan Manufacturers Association, Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti Regional Chamber of Commerce. He has also served on the Board of Directors of Institute of Professionals in Taxation (IPT), International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO), Michigan Assessors Association (MAA), Michigan Chamber of Commerce, and co-founder of the Michigan Taxpayers Association among several other nonprofit business and trade organizations.
